Savory Turkey Burgers with Oregon Blue

Recipe for Oregon Blue Turkey Burgers

Memorial Day means grilling time and these lean and luscious turkey burgers are a delicious change of pace.  Rogue Creamery’s award winning blue cheese keeps these tasty burgers moist and flavorful, an upscale twist on a cook-out classic! Serves 4.


1 1/2 pounds lean ground turkey

1/4 c. yellow onion, finely minced

1 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. pepper

2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

8 oz. Oregon Blue, divided

4 Kaiser rolls, split and toasted

lettuce, tomato and onion slices for topping



In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, onion, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and 4 oz. Oregon Blue cheese, crumbled. Mix well and form into 4 large, thin patties.


Heat grill to medium high. Cook burgers for 5-6 minutes per side until interior temperature reaches 165 degress. You'll get those nice grill marks by leaving your burgers in place rather than shifting their postion. When you flip your burger, turn it 90o.


Stack burgers on rolls with lettuce, tomato and onion as desired. Top with thin slices of remaining blue cheese. Serve immediately.
